About 1st Armory

Curt Stiles has turned a hobby into a business, 1st Armory Machine Gun Simulators.

For the last five years, he's been involved in Vietnam and WW II re-enactments. Soon, men in his unit discovered his talent for repairing guns and he began doing most of the repair and reconditioning of weapons for his unit. Other units began sending him weapons as well.

Curt moved from repairing guns to turning kit guns into gas guns. Curt's gas guns use propane to safely simulate a machine gun's sound and flame. Their historical accuracy makes them very popular with re-enactors. The quality and attention to detail is second to none. He started building gas guns with a Browning 1919 A4/A6.

Curt's skill with welding and fabrication come from years of experience. From 1985 - 1997, Curt fabricated, built and raced drag bikes in northern Indiana. He also has experience building and racing jet boats, and 25 years as career welder and fabricator. For the past four years, he has concentrated on building gas guns and 1st Armory Machine Gun Simulators.
